On 7 and 8 October the Transnational Meeting of the E-Crafts project was held in the city of Santa Maria da Feira in Portugal.
It was the first meeting in presence of the partners, who had the opportunity to share and exchange views, confronting and clarifying some fundamental aspects of the project.
Initially, the results of the Intellectual Output 1 mapping phase were presented, analysing the Portuguese, Spanish and Italian cultural heritage, and the related craftsmen’s techniques. It was a very valuable moment which allowed participants to learn some details of the cultural background of the project partner countries. Afterwards, through a brainstorming process, some of the 18 upcycling techniques were selected for the development of IO1 and proposed the mode of action to implement IO2 (Intellectual Output) concerning the creation of educational videos, to make the collected techniques usable and replicable.
Later, the partners had the opportunity to observe some techniques implemented by Portuguese craftsmen: leather working, creation of bags and various objects with the use of fabrics and vinyl, wood working and decoration.
Finally, once the financial and dissemination aspects have been defined, full of inspiration and creativity, the partners are ready to proceed to the next activities of the project, including the organisation of the training.
